A Successful South Island Colourbration Show 14th Aug 2010
The first ever New Zealand colourbration show was held on the 14th August in Christchurch run by the Alpaca Association Southern Region committee. It was a huge success with entries also coming from the North Island. It was a breed show with no fleece entries. Lots of room and no fancy bits and pieces to distract from the gorgeous alpacas on show. We at Gem Alpacas had a very successful day with 5 alpacas entered, we came home with 3 x 1st place 1 2nd place and a 3rd. Alidale Dalwhinnie (a.k.a Whiskey) has his first seven cria on the ground. All of them grey. Well done Whiskey.
