You can do with Alpaca fibre what you currently do with wool, but with the finished product being much warmer, softer and lighter.
Alpaca fibre is hollow hence it's excellent isolative properties and light weight, while at the same time having incredible strength and is very hard wearing.
Alpaca can be worn by most people that are unable to wear sheep wool because of their allergies. Alpaca only contains about 3% lanolin.
Raw Fibre can be spun as it is or you can card it first. We sell both raw and carded fleece in all colours from white to black including fawns, browns and greys.
We are constantly getting fleeces cleaned and skirted, please just ask if you're looking for a colour not shown as more than likely we do have it.

Alpaca socks- The Essential range is an everyday sock you won't want to be without. Lightly tufted sole for warmth and fine upper foot for comfort. Available in Black - Charcoal and Stone.
The Classic range are soft, warm and light for year round wear. A fine dress sock with excellent wearing qualities for warm or cool temperatures. Available in Blue - Black or Fawn.
The Naturally Better range are made from Baby Alpaca and Cotton for healthy feet. A fine dress sock combining two natural fibres for optimum comfort. Only available in Charcoal.
